I ran over a nail at 6:30am as I was pulling into a garage on my way to work, and 54th Street Auto Care turned what could have been a major headache into a genuinely great experience. AAA arrived within 30 minutes, despite initially estimating it could take up to two hours. Joshua, the AAA technician, was fantastic. He was thorough, communicated clearly, and handled everything extremely well. I was convinced the garage would tell me that I needed to replace the entire tire. Instead, Fred called promptly to explain that they could safely patch it and that a new tire was unnecessary. It was immediately clear that this is an honest, well-run shop. Fred also mentioned some additional maintenance that could help extend the life of my car, but he never pressured me to authorize anything beyond what was needed. They completed the work the same day, had the car ready exactly when promised, and turned it around remarkably quickly. Having a flat tire on a busy workday was the last thing I needed, but Joshua, Fred, and the entire team made the experience as easy as possible. They have earned a loyal customer.

Called AAA on July 4th. power steering not working. Technician arrived shortly and diagnosed the problem with satisfactory explanation. A new battery was suggested. He installed on quickly from his car. I was up and running in less than one hour. The mechanic was knowledgeable and answered All my questions. I was totally satisfied.

*I am making this review incase I do not get an email from AAA for a customer survey* I have had the pleasure of having the Technician Elliot being dispatched to my car situations, and I wanted to share my appreciation. Specifically my work cars as I go into the city from NJ for work. I’ve used AAA to get the service while In NYC and both times I had a mishap, Elliot came from this autoshop. I ran into Elliot before who jump started my battery quickly way back, and funny enough again, I ran into him today as he changed my flat tire. Elliot’s vibe both times were chill and relaxing, he created a safe space with his work vehicle for myself when he worked on my car, and we both shared some small chatter which gave some relief to the day and situations. For AAA and the shop if you see this, I am “Totally Satisfied” and hope others get Elliot, or someone from this location to help them out when needed. You guys have some good folk who work for you! With all of that said, Go Knicks! And thanks again Elliot!!!!

Been bringing our car here for a handful of years now. We have a 2016 Mercedes. Always great service. Fred (well one of the Fred’s hah) always lets us know what’s going on before doing work or charging us. They are great getting us in and out if we need & communication is great throughout the process. The guys here are very transparent about pricing.

AAA towed my car to 54th St Auto Care due to two flat tires. Car was dropped off after hours and both tires matched perfectly and replaced within the first half of the next day. The shop is communicative, fair priced, and helpful. Highly recommend!
